It is my honor to serve as your Middle School Assistant Principal at SOAR Academy.  I am a native of Horry County where I graduated from Aynor High School in 2002. I then attended The Citadel to earn my bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. I taught and coached in Darlington & Columbia before returning to Horry County in 2021. I served as the high school Physical Education teacher at SOAR Academy before stepping into my current position as an Assistant Principal. I value spending time with family and friends, being outside, and enjoying the beaches or rivers. In the fall, I can be found attending college football games at Clemson, The Citadel, or any other great football atmosphere. I look forward to working with young people so that they can SOAR when they return to their base school as well as SOAR throughout life.

I am very excited to be your High School Assistant Principal at SOAR Academy.  I am originally from New Jersey but have lived in the Myrtle Beach area since 2014.   This school year marks the beginning of my 36th year in education.   Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I served as a Special Education Teacher, Instructional Support Teacher, and Behavior Intervention Specialist, and have been the Lead Behavior Interventionist and SOAR Facilitator at SOAR Academy since 2015. I am grateful for the opportunity to remain at SOAR Academy in this new role, as the students and staff of SOAR are my heart and soul and I look forward to serving you in the future.
